Controller for Ice-banks

The intelligent Ice-bank Controller

The basic principle of ice-bank regulators is based on the different electrical conductivity of water and ice. If the thickness of the ice which has formed is sufficient to bridge the two electrodes on the condensing coil then the output relay switches off and interrupts any further cooling process. When the ice layer has melted away again, the relay switches on again and the cooling process is resumed.
